Obituary

Bruce Maurice Wells was born November 22, 1961, to the late James and Alice Faison Wells. He was the third of five children. Bruce attended Clinton City Schools and was a proud member of the Clinton High School Class of 1980.

Bruce worked various jobs throughout his life and was a skilled and trained framer, a profession he truly enjoyed.

In September 1996, Bruce married Stella Faircloth Butler and gained a loving extended family. Stella was not only his devoted wife, but also his caregiver and faithful companion. Together, Bruce and Stella endured the devastating loss of three sons: Bruce Maurice Wells II, Richard Butler, and Bernard Butler.

Although Bruce was a quadriplegic, he embraced life with joy and resilience. He loved communicating with others both in person and through social media, connecting with people across the country. He never failed to share laughter, love, wisdom, and knowledge with everyone he encountered.

In addition to his parents and sons, Bruce was preceded in death by his brother, James Bernard Wells, and his sister, Estelle Wells Skinner.

Bruce leaves to forever cherish his memory his loving wife, Stella F. Wells; sisters, Wanda Wells Corbett (Steve), Sherri Wells, and sister/cousin Latonia Faison;  son, Phillip Butler; brothers-in-love, Allen Skinner and Bruce Faircloth; sisters-in-love, Millie Rodriguez and Rebecca Sanders; nieces, Latrenda, Keidre, Krystal, Jocelyn, Allison, Ashley, and Nija; nephews, Michael (Maria), Alexander, Brandon, and Marcus; along with a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, special brother and sister cousins, and many other relatives and friends too numerous to name.
